Frank Lake Road Signage
The Frank Lake Stewardship Committee (the Stewardship Committee) is raising funds for road signage on highway 23. Currently, Frank Lake has no specific road signage to the main gate at Basin 1. The only signage is a little green sign saying “530 Ave E”. We are currently fundraising in the amount of $5,000 to place signage saying, “ Frank Lake Wetland Conservation Area.” This way, Frank Lake can be enjoyed by more visitors, who would otherwise be discouraged due to getting lost because of a lack of signage.
The Greg Wagner Legacy Project – Island Rehabilitation
The Stewardship Committee is raising funds to restore both Islands 1 and 2 at the outflow area as close to their original size as possible, while also putting in place infrastructure to slow down or prevent future erosion. This project was a dream and wish that the late Greg Wagner wanted done in his lifetime, but sadly could not. The Stewardship Committee is working to fulfill this wish in his honour.
