Speaker Series – March 2020
March 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
In our new show, we will share our explorations of “The Rock.” This 45-minute multimedia presentation is a mix of vivid images, traditional music, and entertaining stories … … from colourful coastal villages, to whales playing in the surf, and the life of puffins through the summer.
Our presentation starts with kayaking among icebergs, moves on to watching sea life and wildlife through the summer, and closes with helping young puffins find their way to sea. From the magic of coastal scenery, to the beauty of wildflowers, and the thrill of walking among caribou, we share our memorable summer. Through the presentation we will also talk about the natural history of this special place.
Presenters: Ian Wilson & Jacinthe Lavoie, They are photographers and authors. Past presentations to NC include Wildflowers of Banff, Wildflowers of Waterton and Birding Canada.
