Presentation: Biodiversity by Design: A birds and bees tour of Calgary

Fellow of Royal Canadian Geographical Society
Six-time winner of Travel Media Association of Canada’s Best Environmental/Responsible Tourism Feature

Her travel writing has been featured in National Geographic, CanGeoTravel, Explore, Fodor’s Travel, BBC Travel, Saltscapes, WestJet, FamilyFunCanada and many others. She has authored several books including Sustainable Tourism: Business Development, Operations and Management and The Business of Ecotourism.

Subject: Calgary has a lofty goal to restore some of its roadsides, boulevards and other open spaces to a more natural state. Here’s a look at some biodiversity-friendly projects already underway. Also an introduction to the Royal Canadian Geographic Society’s “Network of Nature” program which aims to inspire Canadians to improve the long-term health of our ecosystems through the planting of native species.
