Plant Walk: A botanical stroll through Glenbow Ranch

April 28 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Discover the biodiversity of Glenbow Ranch by joining the City Nature Challenge on Sunday, April 28th from 2-4pm! This exciting event is perfect for anyone who wants to become a citizen scientist and contribute to valuable research.

We will meet at the Glenbow Ranch parking lot (https://maps.app.goo.gl/fKPWMHWfJ5CMvRs89) , where you’ll be greeted by our expert guide, Rebecca Smith, who will provide you with all the necessary information to participate in the challenge. Please ensure you have downloaded the iNaturalist app before arriving, as it will be used to document the different species we encounter.

During the event, we will explore different areas of the park. Although the walk will focus on documenting the plants, if we come across animals, and insects we will try to document those as well.

This is a great opportunity to connect with nature, learn from an expert guide, and contribute to scientific research. Whether you’re an experienced naturalist or just starting to explore the natural world, we welcome you to join us for this fun and educational event!

The upcoming event does require some level of physical fitness.
