Bat & Moth Night on St. Patrick’s Island
July 26 @ 10:00 pm
Step into the shadows and discover the incredible nightlife of St. Patrick’s Island on July 26th from 10 – Midnight! Join us for a fun and family-friendly evening exploring the fascinating world of bats and moths.
We’ll set up a special moth-lighting station to attract a dazzling variety of nocturnal insects, perfect for up-close observation and learning about moth diversity during National Moth Week. At the same time, you’ll get the chance to use real bat detectors that pick up the high-frequency calls of bats swooping through the evening sky.
You’ll learn how to identify local bat species and hear firsthand how these night-flyers help keep ecosystems in balance.
