Walk at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary
Host: The Alberta Council for Environmental Education
Time: 9:00am
Meeting Spot: Parking lot, to the left of the main entrance of the interpretive centre
Join for a walk along the main pathway loop, and get tips and techniques on observing and data collection through nature journaling techniques.

South Glenmore Park Guided Photo Hike
Host: Weaselhead Preservation Society
Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Meeting spot: South Glenmore Parking Area West.
Help put Calgary’s Biodiversity on the Map! Join us for a guided guided hike to look for and document a variety of species in the Weaselhead, including birds, plants, insects and whatever else we might stumble upon. One of our Naturalists will lead you through the park giving you the chance to photograph and submit observations of anything you might see to iNaturalist, contributing to the City Nature Challenge!

Downtown Survey
Host: Calgary Urban Species Response Team
Time: 9:00am start
Meeting Spot: 400 3 Ave SW
Join our Calgary Urban Species Response Survey Team on a downtown survey to look for victims of window strikes and learn about the other life we share our downtown space with. We will be walking around downtown on a 5-7km route primarily on sidewalk. The survey typically takes between 1 1/2 -2 hours but will likely be longer as we document other life along the way. Participants are welcome to join for the whole event or only as their time allows.

Help put Calgary’s Biodiversity on the Map! Join us for a guided Pond Study to look for and document pond life in the Weaselhead. One of our Naturalists will collect water samples and help identify the life that lives in the wetlands of the Weaselhead. You will then have a chance to photograph and submit your observation to iNaturalist, contributing to the City Nature Challenge!
