In order to pursue new activities requested by the members, and to maintain a healthy turnover of directors, we are encouraging the membership to put forward names for nomination at the AGM this year. Nature Calgary has an understaffed Board at present, and is just able to maintain the basic functions of the society. With additional directors, we could better address ongoing functions, volunteer coordination, advocacy, and new ventures in the areas of citizen science, grants & fundraising, or youth groups.
The AGM will be held on December 19 to elect a new executive. If you are interested in participating as a director of our very worthwhile organization, or lending a supportive hand with specific tasks in support of executive positions, please contact Andrew Hart, Nature Calgary Acting President, president@naturecalgary.com, to express your interest.
