October’s talk is all about the history of Nature Calgary’s advocacy for better conservation practices in and around Calgary all the way from the time we were known as the Calgary Field Naturalists Society to today and learn how you can become involved in our Advocacy Committee.

 

The talk is presented by Nature Calgary Board Member Nathaniel Schmidt, a lawyer and volunteer who is active in advocacy in Calgary and around Alberta. In addition to Nature Calgary, he also sits on the boards of Calgary River Valleys and the Alberta Wilderness Association. He was involved in efforts to protect Ricardo Ranch and writes about environmental issues in Calgary and around the province.
