Board member JP Gravel attended the 2018 Rock ‘n’ Fossil Road Show on behalf of Nature Calgary.
Robert MacNaughton, a research scientist with the Geological Survey of Canada, wrote this about the event:
The 2018 Rock ‘n’ Fossil Road Show was a success. GSC had ten enthusiastic volunteers on deck, some for the entire event and some for part of it. Representatives from the Alberta Palaeontological Society and Nature Calgary spent the day with us as well. The public turnout at Nose Hill Library was strong, with upwards of 400 very interested people visiting the displays over the course of the four-hour show. The library staff were supportive and enthusiastic, providing a very good location with plenty of public visibility.
Thanks JP for representing Nature Calgary!
