This exciting event is perfect for anyone who wants to become a citizen scientist and contribute to valuable research. \nWe will meet near the bird blind at Frank Lake (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Gwo9V5av2DoN91dX9) at 8:30am\, where you’ll be greeted by our expert guides who will provide you with all the necessary information to participate in the challenge. Please ensure you have downloaded the iNaturalist app before arriving\, as it will be used to document the different species we encounter. \nGreg Wagner\, the IBA caretaker for Frank Lake\, will provide a bit of history about the area and then we will embark on a driving tour to see all the basins and different areas you can explore around Frank Lake. This is an excellent time to learn more about this Important Birding Area and to see Frank Lake from someone who is familiar with all it’s different areas! \nNature Calgary has a long history of documenting the biodiversity of Frank Lake and this is a great opportunity to connect with nature\, learn from expert guides\, and contribute to scientific research. Whether you’re an experienced naturalist or just starting to explore the natural world\, we welcome you to join us for this fun and educational event! \nThe upcoming birding event is accessible to all\, regardless of age or ability. \nThis will mostly be a drivin tour so it is accessible to all abilities.\nSight cues will be available for those with hearing impairments\nDogs are not allowed at the event unless medically necessary.
