SUMMARY:Nature Calgary Trips to Glenbow Ranch – July 14
DESCRIPTION:Nature Calgary has developed an exciting new opportunity to explore Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park by golf cart. This Park is great for biking and hiking\, but it is quite a long walk to get to the good birding areas. \nThe Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation offers golf cart tours Monday thru Thursday. These are available to the public and can be booked online. They focus on the Park’s history and general information. The regular golfcart tours go from 10:00 AM to noon and cost $25. \nFor Nature Calgary we have arranged four-hour tours from 8:00 AM to noon for $30 per person. These special trips are exclusively for Nature Calgary members. There are two carts\, and each can accommodate six or seven passengers. They are also suited for folks with limited mobility.  The primary focus will be birding\, but there are good wild flowers too. Several Natural Calgary trip leaders completed an orientation tour and will direct the cart drivers to the preferred stopping spots. The carts will wait as we explore the various hotspots. \nThere are a few spots left on July 14th and a new date; July 28th. \nYou can sign up at: https://grpf.ca/product/2021-nature-calgary-tours-nc-members-only/. \nWe will meet at the GRPP parking lot before 8:00 AM. When you register for the tour\, you will also receive a confirmation email from GRPF which includes a waiver. The waiver must be signed before the tour begins. The cart drivers have extra waivers on hand\, as sometimes people forget to bring them. It is preferred that Nature Calgary members register and pay through the GRPF website. \nIf you sign up for the trip on July 14\, please inform Andrew Hart.

Leader Andrew Hart.  Registration required. \n* Nature Calgary for the previous two years has offered a series of birding field trips from mid May to mid June to explore Calgary and the surrounding areas in the Calgary 80 km birding circle.  In 2019 these trips will be led by Bob Lefebvre\, Rose Painter\, Andrew Hart\, and Howard Heffler.  These are all full day trips\, many to locations with limited safe parking.  Car pooling will be required\, if you can not agree to car pool please do not come on these trips.  Registration is required for each trip.
