SUMMARY:North Glenmore
DESCRIPTION:This is a wonderful Field Trip. We start at Parking Lot C at 9:00am and follow the reservoir for the first bit before heading away from the shore. Because of the combined reservoir\, wetland\, plus spruce trees we see quite a variety of birds and mammals; all year long. The trip is suitable for most abilities\, but not for wheelchairs or walkers. We are off the paved bike path for most of the trip. There are lots of benches to take a rest. There are port-a-potties on most of the parking lots and heated bathrooms at the north-east corner of the park. Last Saturday of each month at North Glenmore Park. Generally a two hour field trip at a comfortable pace. Register with leader: Penny Smith (403 807-8137).

SUMMARY:Carburn Park
DESCRIPTION:This is a field trip at one of Calgary’s best birding sites. The day will be spent on both paved and graveled paths\, so good footwear is required. The pace will be suitable for all ability levels\, although walkers and wheel chairs will not function on some of the paths. There is good parking and good bathroom facilities. We will start at 0900 and plan to be back to the parking lot by noon. The paths may be muddy.  Please dress for the weather (sun protection\, bug spray). Please contact the leader for registration. As the weather can quickly change\, please check back here if the weather changes and with the leader to ensure the field trip goes forward.
