DESCRIPTION:Time for a day trip. This event was very popular last year. We will start with a visit to Johnson’s Island. Carpooling is advised and we will meet at 8:00 am in the Glenfield parking lot in Fish Creek PP in the South and probably return to Glenfield about mid afternoon. People can carpool at Glenfield. Maximum of 5 cars. Please let the leader know if you need a ride. Please bring waterproof boots because it can be very muddy if it is wet.Bring water\, lunch and chairs as picnic tables are limited. SUMMARY:North Glenmore
DESCRIPTION:This is a wonderful Field Trip. We start at Parking Lot C at 9:00am and follow the reservoir for the first bit before heading away from the shore. Because of the combined reservoir\, wetland\, plus spruce trees we see quite a variety of birds and mammals; all year long. The trip is suitable for most abilities\, but not for wheelchairs or walkers. We are off the paved bike path for most of the trip. There are lots of benches to take a rest. There are port-a-potties on most of the parking lots. Last Saturday of each month at North Glenmore Park. Generally a two hour field trip at a comfortable pace.
