This will offer a different perspective to the more traditional trips along the east bank from Carburn Park and Beaverdam Flats. The Graves Bridge Boat Launch is reached by turning south from eastbound Glenmore Trail onto Glendeer Circle SE. Then left at the lights on to Heritage Drive. The car park is on the right before you go under the Graves Bridge. Park towards the north end away from the actual boat launch. Dress according to the weather. DESCRIPTION:A 3 hour walk in the park with a focus on identification of native trees and shrubs based on the visible features during the winter (growth habit\, leaf buds\, bark\, etc.). Dress warmly and bring a magnifying glass (binoculars are also encouraged for incidental wildlife observations). From Stoney Trail SW\, exit  for  Discovery Ridge Blvd SW and 69th St SW. Turn south onto Discovery Ridge Blvd. Continue past the traffic circle; at the bottom of the hill turn left on Discovery Ridge Link into the parking lot.
